Play Tennis, Cosplay Prince

I guess cosplay costumes from Prince of Tennis is the most fashionable ones in the cosplay world. If you have watched the anime or read the manga, you will absolutely agree with me.

You know tennis is the only sport which has kept the fashion spirit in on-court action alive. The Prince of Tennis episodes have maintained this phenomenon, through the amazing display of fashionable attire. One of the reasons for the success of the anime is the adorable characters adorning trendy tennis attires. This has enhanced the visual appeal of the characters, thereby raising the viewership of the show.

The lead protagonist of the show, Echizen Ryoma, is a tennis prodigy who is never seen without his cap, bearing the letter R inscribed on the front. He is normally seen wearing polo shirts, accompanied with shorts and wristbands. The most common get-up for Ryoma, through which he is instantly recognizable is his white polo shirt with red sleeves, black shorts and his trademark cap.

If you watch Prince of Tennis online, you will find that the captain of the team, Tezuka Kunimitsu, is quite cool, although, outwardly he is depicted as full of fire. Apart from his uniform, he usually adorns the tennis polo of his old school. In a match with Ryoma, he wore a maroon polo with his collar up.

The other members of the team in Prince of Tennis episodes are also found in their tennis specific apparel. Fuji Syusuke is an epitome of a pretty boy, but sometimes he appears a bit girlish. His tennis attire is quite simple – with regulation jersey, accompanied with white shorts and the team jacket. Momoshiro Takeshi tries to accentuate his lean and athletic build, by wearing sleeveless tops. Kaidoh Kaoru adorns bandanas to highlight his tennis gear.

Other freshmen and acquaintances of players also display colorful attire. Ryoma’s dad looks quite funny, when he adorns the conventional Japanese gear, to play tennis with his son.

Those who watch Prince of Tennis online are aware of the fact that the opponents portrayed in the series also have colorful tennis attires. The most interesting uniform is that of Hyotei Gakuen. It is a standard polo shirt, which has been highlighted with vertical lines. The right side is decorated with black vertical lines, while the left side sleeve is designed with blue, gray or teal colors. The collar of the shirt is black. Rokkaku looks great in his sleeveless maroon tennis jersey, trimmed in a pattern.

The producers of the Prince of Tennis episodes have made the tennis apparel available in the market. Seigaku jerseys and jackets are quite easily available at shops, which sell anime related products. This becomes quite easy for those, who want to dress up like the Prince of Tennis characters.

The anime has made an impact upon the minds of youngsters, by creating its own fashion statement. With such colorful apparel, combined with action and the spirit of sportsmanship, this classic anime series has undoubtedly a long way to go!
