In fact it can be said it is a smaller picture of our own lives, only not in real but on paper.
Some very famous literary couples are Romeo and Juliet, Antony and Cleopatra, Paris and Helena, Jane Eyre and Rochester, Elizabeth and Darcy and the list could go on forever. All these couples are so perfect that they have become symbols of love or synonyms of love. People set them as standards for themselves, and try to think the way they did.
All these couples became so famous because, people reading about them can actually relate to them. The see their lives in those of the characters as most of what they went through or the problems they faced are similar to those of real life lovers. Even the feeling of accomplishment, joy and happiness after winning over love is described precisely the same as felt by real people.
This makes people to set these fictious characters as their idols. What they fail to see is that the story itself was also originally written by a human. It was an idea in his mind that he penned down and converted into an eternal love story. But, that idea also came by seeing people around and listening or observing their lives and love problems.
Thus, it can be concluded, that no love story or couple is a standard and nobody is perfect. Every love story is unique as the partners in it are unique individuals. It is always good to read and know what other people went through in love but is foolishness to try to think like them and lead our lives that way as they were exemplary lovers. Besides every couple did not have a happy magical ending, and no two people in love would want that for themselves.
